The prices of LPG cylinders have seen a massive rise on the very first day of March. From July 6, 2022 the prices of gas cylinders have seen no change, but now both domestic and commercial cylinders will witness a price rise ahead of Holi.
Reportedly, the price of 14.2 kg domestic LPG cylinder has been increased by Rs. 50 whereas the price of 19 kg commercial cylinder has been increased by Rs 350.50. All these changes have come into effect from 1st March 2023. A 19 kg commercial cylinder in Delhi will now be available for Rs. 2119.50 and the domestic LPG cylinder for Rs. 1103.
Talking about the domestic cylinders, apart from Delhi in Mumbai it will now be available at Rs. 1102.5. In Kolkata the LPG cylinder will be available at a price of Rs. 1129 while in Chennai people will have to buy cylinder at the price of Rs. 1118. 5. For the commercial cylinder Mumbai restaurants will have to pay Rs. 2071.5 while Kolkata and Chennai will have to buy it at a price of Rs. 2221.5 and Rs. 2268 respectively.
This sudden inflation witnessed at the very start of March month will not only affect the pocket of a common man but will also have an impact on hotels, restaurants, etc. As there has been a rise in the cost of gas cylinders, eateries will also make a rise in the cost of their food items available to people.
