LPU breaks its own record; hiring package spikes by 50 percent in 2022

At a time when the world is witnessing a dip in hiring, Lovely Professional University (LPU) is breaking its own record in terms of placements and salary packages. LPU which is situated on the Phagwara-Jalandhar Highway broke its own record of the highest salary package secured by a fresher in 2022. As per the information received, LPU has broken its own record when CSE 2022 batch student, Arjun secured a package of INR 62.72 Lakh in an Artificial Intelligence company. As per LPU, this package is nearly 1.5 times (50%) higher than the previous year’s highest of INR 42 Lakh for a fresher.

One of the world’s top AI (Artificial Intelligence) domain companies has recruited LPU B Tech CSE 2022 batch student, Arjun, at INR 62.72 Lakh. Another alumnus from the B.Tech class of 2020, Harekrishna Mahto is placed with Google at a package of Rs 64 Lacs. Apart from this, an alumnus from the B.Tech class of 2018, Yasir M has been working at a record-breaking package of Rs 3 Crore in Germany. Perhaps, it is one of the highest packages received by any of the alumni of India. Setting yet another benchmark, 8400+ offers have been extended to students of various programs of the 2022 batch and 5000+ offers are extended by Fortune 500 Companies in recent years.

Coming to the new year, LPU suggests that the highest salary package secured by students in the current batch of 2023, is Rs 54.75 Lacs; and, the highest monthly internship stipend offered is Rs 1.6 Lakhs. The tech giant Amazon has also hired LPU students at the package of INR 46.4 Lakhs. Earlier, Google also selected an LPU student at INR 48 Lakhs. 455 students have been placed in packages between Rs. 10 Lacs to Rs. 62.72 Lacs from 2022, 2021, out of which 18 students are placed at CTC Rs 40 Lacs or above; and, 32 students have been placed at CTC Rs 30-40 Lacs from the class of 2021 and 2022.

LPU Placements in 2021-2022

As per reports, in the year 2021-22, one of the largest number of students have been placed in top companies. As many as 383 LPU students have been placed at packages of Rs. 10-64 lacs per annum. With these figures in place, LPU’s average placement package would be one of the highest in the country. For 2021-2022 many big companies like Cognizant alone recruited 1410+ students, Capgemini recruited 770+ students, Wipro recruited 450+ students, L & T Technology recruited 550+ students, DXC Technology recruited 250+ students and Highradius recruited 230+ students at differential packages upto Rs. 10 lakhs.
