Lucifer's sixth and final season will premiere on Netflix on September 10th. Lucifer's last season will premiere in just a few days, following up on the massive cliffhanger we left off on as we say farewell to all of our beloved major characters.

As of the start of Season 6, our titular anti-hero has become God, and Chloe has resigned from the LAPD to work as Lucifer's consultant.

But their work connection won't be the only thing that changes as the programme winds down.

Lauren German, who plays Chloe, told a leading daily that the final season is about "Chloe and Lucifer truly being a team, and being there for each other as a relationship.”

"Usually there's this push and pull [between them], but this last season we truly are on the same team," she added.

Lucifer himself, Tom Ellis, added: "[Season 6] is a suitable send-off for our characters, emphasising all we've worked for up to this point. I'm hoping [the fans] will be in tears! At the same time, I hope their hearts are full with delight.”

"'Bittersweet' is a great term for the ending," German added. "I think ultimately they’ll get what they want to see."

The writers previously discussed their decision to shake up the Lucifer/Chloe dynamic, with Chris Rafferty telling Neural Cluster that they "decided to shake up the Lucifer/Chloe dynamic." "I liked the idea of making their partnership even more cooperative by having them take turns being the lead and Chloe admitting that Lucifer has been assisting her throughout the show. As we got closer to the finish, it seemed like a beautiful symmetry "..

He said, " "But when we realised we'd have to do another season - oh no! Chloe is no longer a detective! What do we do when we have a case of the week? It drove us to be more imaginative than we'd ever been before. Our 'cases' will be more personalised than they have ever been."

So fans get ready for the entertainment package as Lucifer season 6 will be available on Netflix globally on September 10th. Each of the ten episodes will be available at the same time.
