Lucknow to get 3 more Vande Bharat Express Trains; Check which city it will connect & its route

Preparations are on to run Vande Bharat trains from Lucknow's Charbagh Railway Station to Jammu and from Gomtinagar Station to Bhopal and Jaipur.

Vande Bharat Express has started to become a symbol of modern Indian Railways. Almost every city in India is now demanding that its place be connected to Vande Bharat Express Routes. While Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Katra-Srinagar Vande Bharat Express Train on April 19, 2025, reports suggest that Lucknow will get three more high-speed trains.

As per reports, a plan is being prepared to run Vande Bharat Trains on three more routes from Lucknow. These Vande Bharat Trains will run from Lucknow to Jammu, Jaipur, and Bhopal. It will provide convenience to 3200 passengers daily. The Northern and Northeast Railway administration is continuously working to strengthen the infrastructure. On one hand, the Ganga bridge on the Kanpur route is being repaired after 29 years.

On the other hand, work is going on on the Gorakhpur route. Track speed is being increased i.e. where trains used to run at a speed of 80 to 100 km per hour, the speed has been increased to 130 km per hour. Now preparations are on to run Vande Bharat trains from Lucknow's Charbagh Railway Station to Jammu and from Gomtinagar Station to Bhopal and Jaipur.

As per a Hindi Daily, Northeast Railway DRM Gaurav Agarwal said that instructions from the Railway Board are awaited regarding the Vande Bharat train from Gomtinagar to Bhopal. All these three trains can be put on track within the next three months. 

More on the Katra-Srinagar Vande Bharat Train

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate, the much-awaited Katra-Srinagar Vande Bharat Express Train on April 19, 2025. Following the flag-off, the train will start its journey from the Reasi district of Katra and will reach Srinagar and Baramulla.  During this journey, the train will pass from the beautiful scenic views of the Pir Panjal Mountain Range. 

Apart from the Katra-Srinagar Vande Bharat Express, PM Modi will be arriving at the Udhampur Army Airport, where he will be inspecting the world’s highest railway bridge over the Chenab River. He will be listening to a brief about this new engineering marvel.  Following this, he will visit the flag-off location and will address a public rally.
