A shocking scenario of the accident has come to the fore in the Ludhiana city of Punjab. A major collision of the car took place with the electric pole on the Ludhiana- Chandigarh road during Midnight hours on Tuesday.
In this accident, 5 members of the same family have died while 1 woman in the family remains critical. Out of the deceased members, 3 were children who have lost their lives.
After the accident, all the members were taken to the CMC hospital out of which 5 lost their lives on the way.
The deceased of the accident have been identified as Mahi (5), Khushi (3), Sanjana (30), Jasmine and Rajesh. All of them were residents of Old Madhopuri.
Reportedly, the family was returning to their home after attending a wedding, due to the high speed, the car collided with a driver and hit the electric pole. The accident took place near the Fortis Hospital at around 2:45 am.
Gurmeet Singh, in charge of the Police post Jeevan Nagar said that the speed of the car was more than 100 due to which the person driving lost control. He also added that he reached the spot as soon as he received the information about the accident.
The bodies of the deceased have been kept in the mortuary of the Civil Hospital.
