Shocking incident was reported from Ludhiana where the son of a sub-inspector in the Punjab Police die by suicide as he hung himself in his room. The incident took place early morning in the Grewal Colony of Tana Tibba Road. Reportedly, the deceased’s mother woke up early in the morning and saw that her son’s room was locked. Despite numerous calls as he did not open the door, she called all the family members. Members of the family broke the door and were shocked to see the deceased lying on the ground dead.
Post this, the whole incident was informed to the Police and during investigation, a suicide note was recovered in which the deceased, Gurpreet Singh apologized to her wife and mother for taking the step. Gurpreet and his wife got married just 9 months back but there was a lot of discord between the two because of which his wife was living with her parents.
The members of Gurpreet’s family have raised severe allegations against their daughter-in-law and her family. They said that there was a rift going on between the two due to which Gurpreet has taken this step. It was further added by them that Gurpreet spent 25 lakh rupees in order to send Harman to Canada and her attitude totally changed after she got the VISA approval. The argument between them had come to such an extent that the wife’s family members use to come to their house and physically try to beat them as well. Another startling fact disclosed by the family is that they have alleged that the deceased’s wife has shown her marital status in VISA papers as single and also told Gurpreet that she would divorce him on reaching Canada.
The probe is underway and the police are inspecting all the areas of the case. They have assured to go to the root level of the case and get the guilty punished if any.
