After Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan, another rape case has surfaced in the nation and this time from Punjab.
Reportedly, a juvenile girl was raped by a 28-year-old man on Thursday in Ludhiana. However, the accused, a slum-dweller has been held by the police.
Gora, alias Ishwar, has been identified as accused in the case. He was nabbed by the passers-by who heard the child's cries and jumped to rescue her.
Notably, the agitated crowd has beaten the accused before handing him over to the police.
According to the police, Gora lured the juvenile with chocolates and took her to a vacant plot behind a market, and then raped her.

The victim was admitted to the Ludhiana civil hospital, and now her condition is said to be stable.
Sub-inspector Davinder Singh, SHO, Daresi police station, said Gora had been booked for rape under the IPC and POCSO Act.
