Apple gadget lovers have been going gaga ever since it was revealed that the tech giant is planning to launch its smallest-ever laptop. While Apple has increased the size of its flagship phones, the company is mulling going in the opposite direction when it comes to laptops or computers. Bloomberg reported that Apple has named its smallest laptop M4 Mac Mini and it is likely to be launched in 2024. Apple's Mac Mini will contain the latest M4 and M4 Pro chips. If Apple goes ahead with this plan then it will be the company's first major design change after 2010. All about Apple Mac Mini 2024
Talking about Mac Mini's size, reports suggest that it will be almost the same size as an Apple TV i.e. 1.4-inch high or maybe slightly taller than that. Mac Mini will also feature an aluminum shell. Technicians working on the creation of Mac Mini reportedly said that Apple's upcoming laptop will be like 'an iPad Pro in a small box'. Following the latest direction enforced by multiple countries including India, Mac Mini has already tested a Type-C charging slot along with an HDMI port.
Mac Mini 2024 is expected to be available in two versions after its launch. The first one will come with an M4 Chip i.e. similar to the iPad Pro and the other one will come with an M4 Pro chip.
Talking about the Mac Mini 2024 launch date, the report further suggested that the base model's shipping is expected to start this month i.e. August 2024. However, its high-end model featuring the M4 Pro chip's launch can be done by October 2024. For the unversed, this will be the first time that Apple’s Mac lineup is coming with the same M4 chip. Apple will also launch its iPhone 16 series later this year.
For those who are unaware, M4 Chips are AI-focused processors. The high-end chips are also set to power upcoming iMac desktops, MacBook Pros, and potentially MacBook Airs and Mac Pro models.
Another separate report suggests that Apple is mulling to charge its users to access the feature of AI in its upcoming laptop. Apple is likely to charge $20 premium for AI features as part of the Apple One subscription bundle.
