Taking cognizance of the grave concern of the prevalent COVID-19 situation, Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has announced while convening a public meeting that the state might go into another 'complete lockdown' to curb the spread of the virus.
Notably, CM Thackeray started to address the meeting at 8:30 pm to review the pandemic situation in the state. This statement however comes a few hours after Pune eateries, bars, and restaurants have been directed to remain shut for seven days w.e.f from April 3 owing to an exponential rise in the number of cases.
Mumbai, on Friday, reported 8,832 new coronavirus cases while 20 people succumbed to the infection in a single day, as per the latest figures released by the health department. with this, the total number of active cases stands at 58,455.
