Republic media Editor-in-Chief Arnab Goswami's aggressive reporting on Sushant Singh Rajput's case against Maharashtra State Government has started to back them. Maharashtra Assembly on Thursday sent a 60-page letter to Republic Media Network's Editor-in-Chief Arnab Goswami over breach of privilege.
Recently, the Mumbai Police had detained the Republic's corespondents. Reacting to this, Arnab Goswami has released his official statement. Goswami wrote, "The Maharashtra assembly has decided to move a breach of privilege motion against me. So I have two options. One, I apologize. Two, they send me to jail. Uddhav Thackeray, it is apparent to all of us that you are the architect of this great move. I will not apologize. As for me, since I have done no wrong, I will fight this crude and obvious attempt to challenge my fundamental right of liberty, my freedom as a journalist, and my undilutable right to report in the courts of public opinion and the courts of this country."

Responding to this BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra slammed the Maharashtra state government and said, "I want to ask Uddhav Thackeray that those who want to bring out the truth in the Sushant Singh Rajput death case, you are sending notices to them. Why Uddhav Thackeray, don't you want the truth to come out?"
Recently, the Shiv Sena had threatened the cable operators to stop airing Republic TV on television. And if not complied then they have to face consequences.
