In a heartbreaking incident, more than 50 persons were injured after 3 bogies of a train got derailed in Maharashtra, Gondia. The Maharashtra Gondia train accident has sent chills down the spine of the people as multiple videos have been emerging on social media. Gondia Train accident took place around 2.30 am on Wednesday. Reportedly, over 50 people injured in the Gondia train accident with 1 suffering serious injuries. Reportedly, the accident occurred due to a collision between a goods train and passenger train and due to signalling issues. The driver applied the emergency brake, but could not avert colliding into the goods train. The goods train going from Raipur to Nagpur was hit hard by a passenger train coming from behind.
As per Railway Ministry, the re-railment was completed at 4.30 am, affected train left site at 5.24 am and arrived Gondia at 5.44 am. Traffic movement were resumed by 5.45am.
