Shocking incident reported from Sirhind in which 2 children lost their lives while 8 people were injured after a major accident took place on the Amritsar Delhi National Highway. Reportedly, the accident happened because of a stray animal.
As per the information received, stray cattle were roaming on the road due to which two cars rammed into each other leaving 2 children dead and other 8 injured. The victims are said to be from Saharanpur who were returning from their visin to Golden Temple and Vaishno Devi.
The deceased were identified as 4-year-old Pawanjiti and 2.5-year-old Geetika both of them died on the spot during the incident while the others are admitted in Panchkula Hospital and Government Hospital of sector 32 Chandigarh.
DSP Fatehgarh Sahib, Mr. Sukhbir Singh stated that due to cattle freely roaming on the road, two cars collided with each other leading to the accident. Further identification process of victims is being carried out.
