The second season of the much-awaited web series Mirzapur 2 starring Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal, Divyendu Sharma has been released. According to the reports, the makers spent about five times more money on the production of the latest season in comparison to the previous. This season's production has cost around Rs 60 crore against season one, i.e. Rs 12 crore.
Besides this, actors Pankaj Tripathi (Kaalin Bhaiya), Ali Fazal (Guddu), and Divyendu Sharma (Munna) have received doubled remuneration for this season due to their popularity.
A source was quoted by the publication saying, “Every principal actor has been paid nearly double what he got in the first season. Characters like Kaleen Bhaiya, Guddu, and Munna (played by Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal and Divyendu Tripathi) are more popular than large-screen heroes in high-budget action films.”
With the release of 'Mirzapur 2', directed by Karan Anshuman and Gurmeet Singh, it is now being speculated that 'Mirzapur 3' is also on cards. Not only this, the budget of season 3 would see a substantial hike of around 30% i.e. Rs 75-80 crore more than the second.
However, there has been no official confirmation of the same.
Pankaj Tripathi, who played the role of Kaalin Bhaiya in a conversation with a media house, said, "The eagerness and excitement of the next season of Mirzapur is above everything. Wherever I go, people call me Kaalin Bhaiya. I have never seen such curiosity for any of my characters so far. "
