West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee on Saturday slipped and fell while she was trying to board a helicopter in Durgapur. CM Banerjee suffered minor injuries during the fall and was helped by her security personnel. However, despite her injury, Mamata continued with her onward travel to Asansol to address an election rally for Lok Sabha Elections 2024. Now, Mamata Banerjee video or Mamata Banerjee falling video is going viral on social media with people wondering if she is alright or not.
Notably, this is the second time the West Bengal CM has suffered an injury in the last six weeks. On March 14, the 69-year-old Trinamool Congress supremo fell inside her Kalighat residence in Kolkata and suffered a grievous injury on her forehead and nose. She had to be admitted to hospital for a few hours.
Mamata Banerjee's brother, Kartik Banerjee was quoted by a Bengali news channel saying that the TMC supremo had a cerebral concussion and had a sharp cut on her forehead and nose which was continuously bleeding. The hospital director, Manimoy Bandyopadhyay, initially said that Mamata Banerjee had "a fall within the vicinity of her home due to some push from behind".
The Doctor's claim sparked a row and suspicion. Thereafter, Bandyopadhyay clarified that all he meant was that the CM may have felt "a sensation of push".
