A British man en route Majorca from Manchester was arrested for allegedly groping an air hostess and touching two women passengers without their consent. The UK man's identity has not been revealed by the authorities, however, he is 26 years old. The UK man was going on a holiday to Majorca. The women who were touched inappropriately by the man decided not to press charges against him. As per UK media reports, Civil Guard officers were waiting for the plane when it touched down at Palma Airport on Thursday from Manchester.
The Pilot had informed the authorities from the flight about the incident and hence authorities were waiting for the flight to land. As per reports, the UK man was travelling with a friend and was drinking. He had caused multiple problems during the flight. The British man was allegedly bothering other passengers, shouting, and even vaping while on board. At first, the flight authorities mulled over deboarding him from the flight. However, later, he was arrested on suspicion of sexual assault after a British air stewardess on the flight said he had touched her up and made lewd comments to her.
The authorities reportedly seized his phone before court's appearance. The man reportedly filmed videos of the air hostess while he was on the flight and therefore, the authorities seized his phone for evidence. However, reports suggest that he was freed after the magistrate decided the allegations made against him had to be dealt with in the UK because the incident happened in the air and involved British nationals and a British airline.
The man during the questioning told the police he couldn’t remember what had happened on the flight and declined to answer questions from the judge.
