New Zealand women's cricket team defeated the Indian team by two runs in a thrilling third T20I clinching the series by 3-0. The thrilling contest continued till last ball at Seddon Park Stadium on Sunday.
New Zealand, while batting first, posted a total of 161 runs chasing which India lost Priya Punia early in the innings. Smriti Mandhana scored a brave 86 runs knock and was well supported by Jemimah Rodrigues before she fell on 21 runs.
The Indian team came under pressure after Mandhana got out leaving the resposibility on Mithali Raj and Deepti Sharma to take India over the line with 4 runs needed from last delivery.
Sophie Devine was adjudged the 'Player of the Match' for her allround performance in the game.
