In a historic moment for India, the team of Manu Bhaker and Sarabjot Singh won a bronze medal in the 10 m Air Pistol mixed team event at the Chateauroux Shooting Centre. It will be the second medal for India at the Paris Olympics 2024. Before this, Manu Bhaker secured the first medal by winning bronze in women's 10m air pistol firing. With this bronze, Manu Bhaker became the first athlete in independent India to win two medals in a single edition of the Olympics.
Manu Bhaker and Sarabjot Singh defeated S Korea team by 16-10. In the 10m Air Pistol mixed team qualification, Manu and Sarabjot finished third with 580 points and 20 perfect shots. Manu & Sarabjot defeated the Korean pair of Xue Li and Wonho Lee 16-8, who finished fourth with 579 points and 18 perfect shots, in the bronze medal match.
