UIDAI warns invalid PVC Aadhaar cardholders to get the valid one
Aadhaar card is one of the most important documents nowadays. We need it in our day-to-day work. UIDAI (Unique Identification Authority of India) which provides services related to Aadhaar card declares that the PVC Card is made from the market is not the valid one. Only the PVC card issued by the UIDAI officially shall be considered valid.
PVC cards are Polyvinyl chloride cards that are made from a kind of plastic and all the Aadhaar card information is printed on them. To get the PVC card you have to order it from the UIDAI official website by paying fees of RS. 50. The Aadhaar card will be sent to you within 5 working days. According to UIDAI, the card will contain a secure QR code, micro text, hologram, date of issue, and other information.
Here are the steps how to apply for the PVC Aadhaar card:
Step1: Open the official website of UIDAI.
Step2: Go to the 'My Aadhaar' section. Select 'Order Aahdaar PVC Card' from the section.
Step3: After this enter your 12-digit Aadhaar number, 16-digit virtual ID or 28-digit Aadhaar Enrollment ID (EID).
Step4: Click on send OTP. After this, you will get your OTP on your registered mobile number.
Step5: You will get the preview of your PVC card on your screen. After examining the preview, you will have to make your payment.
Step6: You have to pay Rs. 50 for your card.
After making the payment your procedure will be completed. After the procedure, you will receive your valid PVC card issued by UIDAI within 5 days by post.
