A fire broke out in a chemical plant in Tarapur Industrial Area of Palghar, an official said.
This fire has started in a factory named 'Cambond Chemicals'. The fire is increasing continuously due to the high quantity of flammable chemicals in the factory. Smoke emanating from the factory is spreading around and the people living there have said that there is difficulty in breathing.
As per reports, the product manager of the company has died in this. Apart from this, information about injuries to some people is also coming to the fore.
Tarapur Fire Brigade, half a dozen fire tenders, two ambulances and the local police team are engaged in extinguishing the fire on the spot. The cause of the fire is not clear, but it has caused major damage to the factory. After the fire, there are continuous explosions in the chemical drums.
According to the fire brigade, this is a level 3 i.e. very severe fire. It may take several hours to extinguish this fire.
