Lawrence Bishnoi, a notorious gangster and former SOPU leader, who took the responsibility of hatching the conspiracy of killing Youth Congress Leader, Faridkot, Gurlal Bhalwan, is the same gangster who planned to eliminate bollywood superstar Salman Khan.
In January 2018, he had given life threat to Salman Khan ahead of a court hearing of 1998 blackbuck poaching case and his men were nabbed doing recce of his house in Mumbai.
Bishnoi hit the national headlines back then in 2018 when one of his associates, Sampat Nehra, was arrested from Bengaluru.
Nehra, son of a former ASI of Chandigarh Police, in the police investigation then revealed his plans to kill Bollywood star Salman Khan, who was convicted in the blackbuck poaching case, at the behest of Bishnoi.
As per police reports then, Nehra said in his interrogation that Lawrence belongs to the Bishnoi community, and for them the blackbucks are a protected and sacred species whom they worship. He wanted to avenge the killing of blackbucks by killing Salman Khan.
Meanwhile, at present, this popular gangster is facing scores of trials in cases of murder, attempt to murder, extortion and robbery in several states, including Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh.
Last year only, Chandigarh police brought Bishnoi on a production warrant for his alleged role in the murder of a man, Sonu Shah, at Burail, who was a property dealer by profession with a criminal past and is said to be a rival of the Bishnoi Gang. He was shot dead at his office in Burail, Sector 45, in broad daylight on September 28, 2019. He then also confessed of plotting a murder conspiracy of Shah from the jail.
Why did he Kill Gurlal Bhalwan?
To avenge personal enmity related to the death of Gurlal Brar, in a Facebook post on Thursday night, Lawrence Bishnoi took the responsibility of killing Youth Congress Leader, said that he had told Gurlal several times to mind his own business and not to work against them by colluding with anti-party. “However, not everyone can understand words and I also don't speak much, so I was left with the only option to gun him down”, he said.
