Following an outrage on Twitter over sky-rocket prices for COVID-19 treatment, Max Super Speciality Hospital in Patparganj, Delhi has issued clarification saying that the cost includes "routine tests, routine medicines, nurse and doctor charges."
The Hospital's clarification came after a Twitterati shared an image of a 'standee' that stated the schedule of charges for treatment of COVID-19 patients.
After an outrage on Twitter over exorbitant prices for COVID-19 management, Max Super Speciality Hospital in Patparganj, Delhi has clarified saying that the cost includes "routine tests, routine medicines, nurse and doctor charges".
The hospital's clarification came after a Twitter user shared an image of a 'standee' that stated the 'schedule of charges for treatment of COVID-19 patients'.

Tweeting a clarification for the same, Max Healthcare tweeted: "We would like to clarify that this picture related to the pricing of COVID treatment at Max Patparganj (incorrectly as Max Gurgaon in some tweets) does not carry all facts. The stated cost includes routine tests, routine medicines, nurse and doctor charges etc."

Meanwhile, with a rapid increase in the number of positive cases, India has now taken the fourth spot in the list of countries worst-hit by the contagious pandemic.
As of today, India recorded 3,08993 cases, of which 145779 are active cases. So far, 8,884 patients have succumbed to the disease.
