The three month long cooking competition, MasterChef Australia Season 13 has been concluded on July 13, today announcing Justin Narayan as the winner. Kishwar Chowdhary from Bangladesh has managed to secure the position of the second runner-up in the competition.
27- year old Justin Narayan, has won the top prize of $250,000 along with the Master Chef trophy. Kishwar Chowdhary did not win the first prize, however has made Bangladesh proud by winning $20,000 on the show. Pete Campbell became the first runner-up and won $30,000.
The 38-year-old chef, Kishwar served Panta Bhaat and Aloo Bhorta as her final dish to judges of the show, Melissa Leong, Andy Allen and Jock Zonfrillo.
“This is the kind of cuisine you'd never see at a restaurant. It's a little scary, but it's also rewarding to present this as my last dish,” she told the judges.
Her final meal was described as "unbelievable" by judges. “My mouth is still watering,” Jock Zonfrillo commented. It's such a lovely contrast. Kishwar's meal was "strong with flavour and powerful with history," said Mellissa Leong.

Who is Kishwar Chowdhary?
Kishwar's journey on MasterChef Australia Season 13 has been remarkable. Kishwar, from a home cook to one of the grand finalists of MasterChef Australia Season 13, was born and brought up in Melbourne, Australia. She is a printing business owner.
She has done post-graduation in Graphic Design from the University of the Arts in London. She spent six years in Bangladesh developing her firm. In 2015, she returned to Melbourne.
Kishwar is proud of her Bangladeshi heritage, which is seen in her cuisines. She is married to her high school sweetheart and is a mother of two.
The judges of the show were delighted by her Bengali delicacies such as the Australian twist Hariyali chicken, Bengali Khichuri and Begun Bharta and Bengali Patties. She aspired to write a cookbook with Bangladeshi food and flavours.
