For Meghan Markle, it has been a major struggle to deal with the pressure of being in the spotlight, especially after the birth of her son Archie, she said in an emotional interview with Tom Bradby. From her conversation with the reporter, a snippet has been released by ITV News on Twitter - the clip is part of the British television channel's documentary - Harry & Meghan: An African Journey.

Considering the fact that Meghan is Prince Harry's wife, her life has been under constant scrutiny by the media. And that has been really difficult for the Duchess of Sussex. "Any woman, especially when they're pregnant, you're really vulnerable, and so that was made really challenging. And then when you have a newborn, you know. And especially as a woman, it's a lot. So, you add this on top of just trying to be a new mom or trying to be a newlywed," Meghan said in a visibly upset tone during the interview.

Meghan fought back tears as she thanked the reporter for inquiring about the consequence of the media pressure on her mental and physical health. "Thank you for asking. Not many people have asked if I'm okay, but it's a very real thing to be going through behind the scenes," she added.

After her poignant response, the reporter asked her, "Would it be fair to say, not really okay, as in it's really been a struggle?"

"Yes," Meghan said.

Meghan Markle's angst against the spotlight is understandable considering she made headlines earlier this month after she began legal action against the Mail claiming that the publication had published one of her private letters. Moreover, she was also censured for her outfit that she wore at the Wimbledon in July while cheering for her best friend Serena Williams during a tournament.
