64 years old Armando Vega Gil who was the founder and bassist of Mexican rock band Botellita de Jerez committed suicide on Monday in the wake of posting a suicide letter on Twitter that said he was falsely and anonymously abusing a minor.
He was found dead at his residence in Mexico City.

The suicide note quoted “"I will say this categorically, this accusation is false. Let me make it clear that my death is not a confession of guilt; on the contrary it is a radical declaration of my innocence. I just want to clear the path my son will walk in the future."
According to Paola Hernandez, representative for Botellita de Jerez, Vega Gil was deeply sad and pissed off; he didn’t know how to clear his name. Hernandez spoke two hours before the suicide of the rockstar which she revealed during a radio interview.
The #metoo has already engulfed the entertainment industry around the globe and many renowned names have already came under the radar of this campaign. Some of the renowned name includes Andrew Kreisberg (creator of Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl), Jeremy Piven (Academy award and three times Emmy award winner) and many more.
The Rockstar death has sparked a debate on Mexican social media. While some are advocating that Vega Gil must have gone through Mexican Justice System, others are advocating about the trauma he went through as he was already an offender in the court of public opinion especially on social media.
