At least 18 people including the city mayor were killed in a mass shooting rampage in Southwest Mexico’s Guerrero state’s city mall. The gunman entered the city mall and started shooting at the mass openly which appeared to be an organized instant crime.
The incident has left three others grievously injured, as reported by the local news. The incident occurred at a mall in San Miguel Totolapan city informed a Mexican journalist Jacob Morales through his tweet.
His tweet read, "Among the more than 20 dead, they confirm a minor under 12 years of age in San Miguel Totolapan. Guerrero #Mexico #Violencia In the center of the city, in front of the Town Hall, rides were being set up for the fair.”
The State Governor of Guerrero Evelyn Salgado expressed her grief over the incident and the death of Mayor Conrado Mendoza Almeda.
State Governor went on to tweet her message in Spanish that say, “I condemn the facts and reiterate that in the @Gob_Guerrero there will be no impunity in the face of the cunning aggression against the municipal president and officials of the City Council.”

Confirming the city mayor’s death, PRD political party, to which Mendoza belonged, condemned the attack in the harshest manner and called for justice.
Party in a tweet through their official handle wrote, "The National Executive Directorate of #PRD condemns the cowardly murder of our colleague Conrado Mendoza Almeda, Mayor of San Miguel Totolapan, #Guerrero. We demand justice @FGEGuerrero, enough of violence and impunity.”
The Totolapan shooting spree is yet another incident that has shocked Mexico in recent times the series of killing rampages claiming several innocent lives with the Police primarily seeming to fail in putting a gag on these incidents.
