(Report By AshishPuri) MGN Public School, Kapurthala organized its 27th Annual Prize Distribution Function in the school with great gusto. Ms.Amarpreet Kaur Sandhu, ADC Kapurthala, was the Chief Guest of the day and Lal Vishwas Bains, SDM Kapurthala, was the Guest of Honour. They were warmly welcomed by the NCC Cadets & the School Band.
The function started with the school Shabad. After the lighting of the lamp by the Chief Guest, Principal Mrs. Parwinder Kaur Walia, and School Co-ordinator Rajinder Singh welcomed the Chief Guest and the Guest of Honour by presenting them a sapling.
After the welcome speech by School Head Boy Amitabh Verma, Principal Mrs. Parwinder Kaur Walia read out the Annual Report highlighting the achievements of the school. As part of the cultural program 'Confluence,' various items were presented by the children which included English play based on the importance of human emotions over the use of artificial intelligence and Hindi Nukkad Natika depicting degrading moral values in the society.
The students enthralled the audience by performing Retro beats and Classical dance. Orchestra 'Ruhaniyat' depicting cultural beauty was the main attraction of the day.
The meritorious students were awarded by Chief Guest Ms. Amarpreet Kaur Sandhu, ADC Kapurthala and Shri Lal Vishwas Bains, SDM Kapurthala. Staff members who have completed 25 years of service at MGN were also awarded with trophies. Four houses of the school were honored with trophies for their achievements in various fields. On this occasion, the Chief Guest praised the achievements of the school and said that MGN institution has always been striving for the all-round development of children with new technologies, the visible example of which was seen on the stage. She appreciated the entire team of MGN working under the leadership of the Principal. School Principal Mrs. Parwinder Kaur Walia and School Coordinator Mr. Rajinder Singh presented mementos to the Chief Guest.
School Head Girl, Sehajdeep Kaur gave a vote of thanks. The event ended with the National Anthem.
