The world went into shock after Paletine's armed group Hamas launched 5000 rockets at Israel in just 20 minutes and invaded the Jewish country by air, land, and sea. While the Israel-Palestine conflict goes a long back, the world was horrified after multiple videos started to surface on social media in which Hamas fedayeen were seen massacring Israelis including women & children. Not only this, the Hamas fedayeen were also seen taking hostages of many Israeli citizens and even tourists who came to visit the nation.
While most of the nations including India extended their support to Israel and its right to defense, there was a section of people who backed Hamas despite their killings & kidnappings of the common Israeli people. A few of them include former adult film actress Mia Khalifa, Bollywood actress Gauahar Khan & Swara Bhasker.
Mia Khalifa took to her official X handle, formerly known as Twitter and wrote, " In a post on X, Mia said, "If you can look at the situation in Palestine and not be on the side of Palestinians, then you are on the wrong side of apartheid, and history will show that in time."
After the US came out in support of Israel, Mia then wrote, "Joe Biden’s fav hobby is b*mbing Arab children, we haven’t forgotten the 24,000 he dropped between Syria and Iraq in 2016 alone."
Bollywood actress Gauahar Khan wrote, "Since when did the oppressor become the oppressed ????? Convenient eyesight of the world !!!!! Blind to years n years of history of oppression."
It is pertinent to mention here that after Gauahar Khan was slammed for her post, she issued a clarification saying, "Killings are wrong , All killings are wrong . Let the world have peace . Let it stop right at the very beginning of it . There is no right or wrong in war , it’s ALL wrong . So all countries must adhere to human rights , ALL lives matter , ALL lives matter . ALL lives matter . Can’t say it more clearly . All wars must stop .. Live n let live."
Bollywood actress Swara Bhasker took to her Instagram stories and wrote, "If you have not felt shock and horror at Israel's unending atrocities on Palestinians, the forcible occupation of Palestinian homes, the forced evictions, the bigotry and violence of settler Israelis, the murder of Palestinian children and teenagers, the decades-long blockade and bombing of Gaza and civilians in Gaza, including bombing of schools and hospitals (not to mention the apartheid and occupation), then I'm afraid your shock and horror at Hamas' attacks on Israel seem a bit hypocritical."
Israeli–Palestinian conflict
Notably, the Israeli–Palestinian conflict is one of the world's most enduring conflicts, beginning in the mid-20th century. Various attempts have been made to resolve the conflict as part of the Israeli–Palestinian peace process, alongside other efforts to resolve the broader Arab–Israeli conflict.
