Multiple services including airlines around the world faced disruption after a major technical glitch in Microsoft systems. Microsoft Down started to trend on X after thousands of users around the world complained of facing disruption in services. Microsoft's tech glitch resulted in the crash of computers around the world leaving major banks, businesses, newsrooms, and television networks all plunged into chaos. Microsoft outage affected several airlines, grounding planes and disrupting flight operations at Delhi and Mumbai airport.
Akasa Airlines announced that some of its online services will be temporarily unavailable at the Mumbai and Delhi airports, saying," Due to infrastructure issues with our service provider, some of our online services, including booking, check-in, and manage booking services will be temporarily unavailable."
Apart from this, UK media reported that Sky News was also rocked by the outages with it going off air completely - leaving viewers baffled by the severe disruption. Friday's Sky News breakfast show was wiped off computer and TV screens with a statement apologising for the "interruption" being shown.
