Vinesh Phogat PM Modi Call: While the Haryana Elections 2024 campaign is in the final stages, wrestler-turned-politician Vinesh Phogat has dropped a massive bombshell during her time at the Paris Olympics 2024. Vinesh Phogat who announced her retirement from wrestling after she was disqualified from the Paris Olympics recently narrated what happened behind the scenes after that. Vinesh Phogat PM Modi Call is buzzing on social media as the former wrestler during an interview stated that she refused to talk to Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the phone call. Below is what Vinesh Phogat said in an interview with Lallantop-
Vinesh Phogat said, "The call had come (from PM) but I refused to speak. The call did not come directly to me but Indian officials who were there informed me that he (PM Modi) wanted to talk. I was ready. However, they put conditions that no one from my team would be present, while two people from their side would record the conversation for social media,..I didn’t want my emotions and hard work to be made fun of on social media.”
Phogat further said, "If he truly cared about athletes, he could have called without recording it, and I would have been grateful." Vinesh Phogat who has now joined Congress added, "Maybe he knows if I speak to Vinesh she will ask about the last two years. Maybe that’s why I was instructed that there will be no phone from my side because they can edit (video) from their end but I will not edit. I will post the original video. So they denied."
For the unversed, Vinesh Phogat is fighting Haryana Elections 2024 as a Congress candidate for the Julana seat. Vinesh also reached out to farmers protest and appealed to the Central government to resolve their issues as soon as possible.
For those who have forgotten Vinesh Phogat was disqualified from her 50kg wrestling final at the Olympics for missing weight by just 100 grams. Before going to the Olympics, Vinesh was part of wrestlers' protest against wrestling federation chief and BJP leader Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh.
