However, the proposal to initiate conversation with the protesters comes shortly before the Delhi Assembly Elections in which people are to cast their vote for two major parties of the nation- BJP and AAP.
Shaheen Bagh falls in the Okhla constituency, area is the epicentre of anti-CAA protests in the national capital region and the agitation has been influenced by political parties into a poll issue.
Union Minister and BJP leader Ravi Shankar Prasad took it to twitter and said, "the Narendra Modi government is ready to communicate to the Shaheen Bagh protesters and clear all their doubts regarding the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA)."
He further added, "the talk should be in a structured form."

The protesters, opposing the contentious newly amended Citizenship Act and a proposed pan-India National Register of Citizens (NRC), have been sitting on a protest at Delhi's Shaheen Bagh for over 45 days now.

Delhi CEO Ranbir Singh, on Friday had visited the Shaheen Bagh area to assess the situation and to preparedness ahead of the assembly elections, said there is no obstruction in areas where poll activities are to carried out on February 8.
He further added, police forces and election machinery are on "extra vigil" and assessing the situation all the time across the NCR.
