Prime Minister Narendra Modi was in Hoshiarpur today to address a rally in favour of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Lok Sabha Candidate for Hoshiarpur, Anita Som Parkash. PM Modi addressed the reservation quota and appealed to Ravidass community for their vote. The PM also had strong words to say about the opposition, accusing them of targeting the reservation quota and disrespecting Dr. B.R. Ambedkar's name.
PM Modi said "Modi has taken a pledge that he will not let anyone take away the reservation of Dalits, backward and tribals... These Congress and INDI alliance people are agitated with this effort of mine. Their track record has been of snatching the reservation of SC-ST, OBC...They are insulting the spirit of the Constitution, the spirit of Dr Baba Saheb Ambedkar.
He further went on to say that the INDIA alliance want to give reservations to the Muslims saying that "They want to take away the reservation of Dalits and Backward Classes and give it only to Muslims...Modi has exposed their conspiracy and this is why they are furious and keep abusing Modi."
PM Modi also addressed the Indian Army, saying that, "Modi's aim is to make India's armed forces the most modern, the most capable, and truly self-reliant. But the INDI Alliance's illicit earnings are being disrupted by Modi's campaign, which is why they are getting angry with Modi... I remain silent so don't mistake it as Modi's lack of understanding. The day Modi speaks up, I will expose the sins of your seven generations…"
During his speech, PM Modi had unveiled the BJP government’s plan to erect a statue in honor of Guru Ravidass ji saying, "In Kashi, we are undertaking significant work that visitors will surely notice. I had the opportunity to lay the foundation stone for Guru Ravidass's grand statue in Madhya Pradesh, where the BJP government is also in power..."
PM Modi also promised that if BJP government comes into power then Adampur Airport will be renamed after Guru Ravidass ji.
PM Modi also made a bold statement saying that the BJP government will be scoring a hat-trick victory saying that, "...After decades, a time has come when a full majority government is going to score a hat-trick...Punjab is also saying 'Phir ek baar Modi Sarkar."
Further taking aim at the opposition, PM Modi said that "The politics of vote bank, practiced by the Congress and the INDI Alliance, has caused significant harm to the country. Those who once had affection for their vote bank failed to assert India's rights over Kartarpur Sahib during partition. These are the same people who continuously opposed the Ram Mandir for their vote bank. Due to their politics of appeasement, the INDI Alliance is now opposing the CAA…"
PM Modi’s Hoshiarpur rally was the last public rally in Punjab before polling day on June 1. Polling in Punjab will be the seventh and last phase of the Lok Sabha elections 2024.
