PM Modi meets Uzbekistan President & Maltese Prime Minister for bilateral talks

New Delhi/Ahmedabad: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday held bilateral meetings with Uzbekistan President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Prime Minister of Malta Joseph Muscat in Ahmedabad on the sidelines of the Vibrant Gujarat Summit.

"Deep rooted relationship radiating warmth. PM Narendra Modi met with Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev on Vibrant Gujarat margins in Ahmedabad. Good discussion on upgrading bilateral relationship, specially in trade and investment, healthcare, pharma, agriculture & IT", tweeted MEA spokesman Raveesh Kumar.

In another missive, Mr Kumar wrote: "A partner in EU and Mediterranean. PM Narendra Modi and Maltese PM Joseph Muscat met on Vibrant Gujarat margins".

Both the leaders discussed growing economic linkages and agreed to enhance mutual cooperation in sectors such renewable energy, pharmaceuticals and healthcare, air connectivity and tourism, informed the MEA spokesman.
