New Delhi: On Friday, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj on Friday met the Bhutanese Prime Minister Dr Lotay Tshering, who is visiting India. During the meeting, Ms Swaraj congratulated Dr Tshering on taking charge of high office of Prime Minister of Bhutan.
"Attaching priority to unique ties of friendship and cooperation. EAM Sushma Swaraj called on PM Bhutan Dr Lotay Tshering. Congratulated him on assumption of high office of PM of Bhutan", tweeted MEA spokesman Raveesh Kumar. "Warm exchange of views on important aspects of our bilateral relationship", he wrote.
The visiting Bhutanese Prime Minister was given a ceremonial welcome at the Rashtrapati Bhavan here in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. "Exceptional and cherished ties. PM Bhutan Dr Lotay Tshering receives ceremonial welcome at Rashtrapati Bhavan in the presence of PM Narendra Modi on his first overseas visit after assuming office of the Prime Minister of Bhutan last month," MEA spokesman Raveesh Kumar tweeted.
Mr Tshering is on a three-day visit to India. On Friday, he will hold important round of talks with his Prime Minister Modi on Friday.
