Pradeep, a resident of Jarout village of Dera Bassi in Mohali has also been deported from the US. His family is worried. His mother said that she had sent her son to America 6 months ago after taking a loan of Rs 41 lakh.
For taking the loan, he sold his one acre of land. It was hoped that by going abroad, the condition of the house would improve but unfortunately, he was forced to return. Now, the condition of the house is very bad. He had completed all the papers to go abroad as well. Pradeep's father is already suffering from depression.
The deportees are being transported by a US military C-17 aircraft, marking a significant operation in the ongoing enforcement of U.S. immigration policies.
This deportation aligns with the U.S. administration’s intensified efforts to enforce immigration laws. A spokesperson from the U.S. Embassy in New Delhi stated, “The United States is vigorously enforcing its border, tightening immigration laws, and removing illegal migrants. These actions send a clear message: illegal migration is not worth the risk.”
