Monali Thakur stops concert prematurely due to safety concerns

In a shocking episode, a popular playback singer and film actress Monali Thakur stopped her performance in Varanasi on December 23, 2024. She claimed there was a lot of mismanagement on the part of the organizers which led to an abrupt stop. Thakur, who is popular for her deep voice and several hits including ‘Sawaar Loon’ and ‘Cham Cham’ talks to the audience in between the performances and apologizes for the sudden end while addressing them.

A video was later published by event organizers in which they accused her of having personal issues and even went ahead to say she had her “ego hurt”. Not many felt sorry for the organizers, beating the safe butt and announcing the end of the gig was a wise move by the artist in every way.  

In the viral video, the Varanasi concert Monahi is heard saying “I’m a woman, I was not being able to go inside a toilet for the past few hours because they (management) were harrowing my room, there was no privacy, and so you guys were waiting” She added that she is thankful of that thing that she has the microphones and she can communicate this to the people. She also expressed her aggression for the kind of infrastructure where she was performing in Varanasi. She also alleged that the owners of the structure have built a very inferior kind of infrastructure. “I apologize to my fans for not being able to deliver thoroughly this time but I make a promise to try harder in the next show to deliver a full package. I still believe in putting out wonderful events for my audience” Monali said. 

Recently Diljit also came up with similar issues regarding the poor infrastructure at the Chandigarh concert, later he also clarified that he did not mean to demean the infrastructure facilities existing in India. All these Indian singers and artists who are celebrated by Indian fans should watch their statements before pronouncement that either of their statements should not bring any kind of disrepute to the Indian Nation as a whole.
