After the cremation of Moosewala, the first-ever statement of Moosewala’s parents come, in which they blame the Mann government for the murder of their son.
In a joint statement, they said “ they (government) didn’t kill Sidhu, they killed a laborer’s son. We both wife and husband brought our son to this level with hard labor. Our salary was very less, we were just hand to mouth."
"As the news of security removal has come on social media, cars started moving around our house. We kept our son at home. We want to say something if you are successful you will be killed. Please don’t let your children famous. Today our house was ruined. We want to request the government please don’t post on social media whatever you are doing," they said.
"Someone has linked my son with gangsters. I have spent my life’s meantime in the army, I served the country in places like Leh Ladhak where the temperature is -30 degrees. I will not listen to any word against my country. The government has murdered our son. I’m proud of my son’s death. But his absence will haunt me till death," they added.
