The Himalayan country, Nepal which has a long series of snow-covered mountains has opened for mountaineering and trekking after a gap of seven months. People who are fond of adventures and those who had Mount Everest in their bucket list can now try for the climbing activities and sports which were stopped due to the coronavirus pandemic.
But before applying for these adventures and visiting Nepal, one should know certain rules laid down by the government.
Nepal government has issued permits for mountaineering in November only. Therefore, people who love mountains can apply for the same.
Not any tourist will be allowed an entry in Nepal but only those who want to trek the mountains will be given a permit. Mountaineers must carry a COVID-19 negative report with them which will be provided within 72 hours of landing in the country.
Anyone who wants to climb Nepal’s Himalayan cliffs is required to get the permit in advance and also have an insurance cover of $5000.

Visitors will need to go through a 7 days quarantine period and for that, they need to book a hotel in advance.
Helpers, guides, cooks, and porters accompanying the trekkers will also need to get tested for COVID-19 and present a negative report for the same. Moreover, a proof has to be furnished stating that they have not been in the infection-prone areas in the last two weeks.
