Panvel Police last week submitted a 350-page chargesheet in which it revealed the details of jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi's plan to murder Bollywood actor Salman Khan. Maharashtra Police in its chargesheet highlighted that Salman Khan was on target and his murder was planned in a similar fashion to the late Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala. As per the chargesheet, Lawrence reportedly issued a Rs 25 lakh contract to kill Salman Khan. On April 14, two men allegedly linked to the jailed gangster fired shots outside Salman Khan's residence in Bandra. Multiple accused were arrested in the case and the recent chargesheet records charges of conspiracy to murder and other grave offences.
Maharashtra Police chargesheet names five Bishnoi gang members including, Dhananjay Tapsingh alias Ajay Kashyap (28), Gautam Vinod Bhatia (29), Vaspi Mehmood Khan alias China (36), Rizwan Hassan alias Javed Khan (25), and Deepak Hawasingh alias John Walmiki (30).
For those who are unaware, Panvel Police inspector Nitin Thackeray in April this year received input of the possible assassination of Salman Khan. In the investigation, it was found out that Lawrence had issued a contract of Rs 25 lakh to his gang members to assassinate Salman Khan. Lawrence Bishnoi-gang allegedly talked through a WhatsApp group with 15-16 members, including Bishnoi's Canada-based cousin Anmol Bishnoi, Goldy Brar, Ajay Kashyap, Vinod Bhatia, Vaspi Mehmood Khan alias China, and Rizwan Hassan Khan.
The chargesheet revealed that Bishnoi gang had planned to kill Salman Khan using AK47s & other sophisticated weapons supplied to them by a Pakistani arms dealer. The attack on Salman Khan would take place either during a movie shoot or while he was leaving his Panvel farmhouse.
