Manish Tewari, MP from Shri Anandpur Sahib, has condemned the stubborn attitude of the central government in not withdrawing the farming laws despite several meetings with the farmers' organizations. Tewari was addressing a program organized at the residence of Satvir Singh Pallizhikki, chairman of the Nawanshahar District Planning Board.
Addressing the media, Tewari said that farmers have been struggling for the last several months to protect their rights against farming laws. During this period, 9 rounds of meetings have been held with the central government, but the government is still adopting a stubborn attitude rather than accepting the demands of the farmers.
MP Tewari said that the Congress party has always been in favor of the farmers. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh, the party brought a resolution in the Assembly against these laws. He said that he has been in charge of Gujarat Congress and knows the trend of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP very well. Similarly, he also congratulated the local people for their success in the fight against Corona infection.
