Mahendra Singh Dhoni has got back the blue tick on his Twitter account just hours after the verification badge was removed from his profile by the social networking giant on Friday.
It is yet unclear what could be the reason behind the removal of the blue tick for the handle of the former Indian skipper. Notably, Dhoni's last tweet was back in January and has been inactive ever since. While his Facebook page remains verified, his Instagram handle too is still verified, despite having last posted back in January.
BCCI’s Media manager Moulin Parekh confirmed that MS Dhoni’s account issue has been resolved by the Sillicon Valley giants which means his account is verified now.
Dhoni is one of India's most successful captain and has also led the country to two World Cup triumph in 2007 and 2011. He has over 8.2 million followers on the micro-blogging platform.
MS Dhoni, who retired from international cricket on August 15, 2020, now only plays in the Indian Premier League and will be back in action when the UAE leg of IPL resumes in September.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the schedule for the remainder of IPL. A total of 31 matches will be played in the duration of 27 days.

Mumbai Indians will take on CSK on September 19 to resume IPL 2021. The final game of the league stage will be played between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Delhi Capitals on October 8.
The 1st Qualifier will be played in Dubai on October 10. The Eliminator & Qualifier 2 will be played in Sharjah on October 11 and 13 respectively with Dubai hosting the final of IPL 2021 on October 15 this year.
