Multitudes of people on Saturday gave a massive response to the pro-people and development-oriented schemes of the state government by participating in ‘Vikas Kranti’ rally by Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.
Addressing the gathering after inaugurating/ laying foundation stone/ announcing developmental projects worth Rs 867 Crore as a gift to people of Hoshiarpur, the Chief Minister said that it is a historic occasion when the fortunes of the entire Kandi region is being transformed. He said that these projects will give impetus to the development of this region and bring prosperity in the lives of people. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that the previous governments had blatantly ignored this region but his government is committed to its holistic development.
The Chief Minister described Arvind Kejriwal as a legendary and revolutionary leader who has brought the common man to the centre stage of Indian politics. He said that this is neither a political rally nor a show to exhibit power but this function is completely dedicated to the development of Hoshiarpur. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that today unparalleled development is being witnessed in every corner of the state and this is the outcome of the 18 months old regime of Aam Aadmi.
The Chief Minister said that now complete transformation is being witnessed in hospitals, schools and new medical colleges are coming up for the well being of the common man. He said that these decisions are being taken only by those who are aware about the problems of the people at grass root levels. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that the traditional political parties have ruined the state and now they are shamelessly making huge talks of morality.
The Chief Minister said that Sukhbir Badal and his cotrie had sold the interests of the state, ruined the lives of the common man and now they are insulting the youth of Punjab by saying that AAP is the party of Vagabonds (Malangs). He said that the party has a battery of intellectual leaders who have studied in the premier institutes both at the national and international level adding that all of them have proved their mettle in varied fields before entering politics. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that these leaders who don’t even know how to pronounce the basic words of Punjabi are talking baselessly about the state and its people.
The Chief Minister predicted that the people are so fed up with these autocratic leaders that they have made up their mind to give all the 13 seats of the state and one of Chandigarh in upcoming general elections to the AAP. He said that the tally in coming Lok Sabha elections will be 13-0 where 13 will be in the favor of AAP and the other parties will not even be open to their accounts. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that the Akali Dal Chief is open to file any defamation case against him adding that he will welcome this case to expose the misdeeds of the Badal family before the people.
The Chief Minister said that the traditional parties are envious of him because he hails from a common family and is working tirelessly to ensure welfare of people. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that these leaders had always believed that they have divine right to rule the state due to which they are not able to digest that a common man is running the state efficiently. He said that these leaders have befooled the people for a long time but now people are not getting swayed by their misleading propaganda.
The Chief Minister said that it is heartening that people had routed out the leaders living in palaces or palatial houses and are known by the nomenclature of ‘Kaka ji’ and ‘Biba Ji’. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that these opportunist leaders had never been with the people but they had always sided with those who suited their interests. He said that these leaders had always given preference to their own vested interests over that of the state and its people.
Training his guns against Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Chief Minister, said that he is ‘Master of phraseology’ who had befooled the people during his entire tenure. He reminded the people that Rs 15 lakh promised by Modi in every account has not yet come but people had suffered a lot due to his unplanned policies. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that leave aside Rs 15 lakh, the people of Gurdaspur Lok Sabha segment, which is adjoining Hoshiarpur, are even waiting to see the face of their MP Sunny Deol, who was elected on BJP ticket from the seat in 2019.
The Chief Minister said that both the BJP and Congress had befooled the general public since independence. He said that these parties have done nothing tangible for the well being of the masses and just enjoyed the fruits of power. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that the people will never forgive these parties for their misdeeds and will further teach them a befitting lesson in the coming polls.
The Chief Minister bemoaned that in 75 years of independence only three medical colleges were opened in the state whereas now in the coming one year five more Medical colleges will be opened in the state. He said that in the coming years every district of the state will touch a medical college. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that this will go a long way in imparting quality treatment and medical education to the people of the state.
The Chief Minister also said that the state government is opening eight hi-tech centres for imparting training to the students for competitive exams. Bhagwant Mann said that these centres will provide quality training to youth for clearing the UPSC exams and sit on coveted positions in state and country. He said that the target of the state government is to ensure that youth sit in high offices and serve the country.
The Chief Minister reiterated that by January 26 all the hospitals in the state from tehsil and district level will be equipped with X-ray machines. He said that this facility will be available in all the hospitals along with the operators by the coming Republic Day. Likewise, Bhagwant Singh Mann said that all the medicines prescribed by the Doctors will also be available to the people within the hospital only to check their loot.
Meanwhile, addressing the gathering Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal solicited fulsome support and cooperation of the people to strengthen the hands of Bhagwant Mann government. He said that this is the need of hour to continue the ongoing pace of development and prosperity in the state. Arvind Kejriwal said that the Punjab government is making exemplary efforts for welfare of every section of the society.
The Delhi Chief Minister reminded people that neither former Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal nor Captain Amarinder Singh had ever bothered to visit Hoshiarpur after assuming the charge of office. Likewise, he said that Union Minister for state Som Parkash also abandoned Hoshiarpur after becoming MP from here. However, Arvind Kejriwal said that after assuming charge of office the Punjab Chief Minister is visiting this area again and again to give a boost to its development.
The Delhi Chief Minister said that Punjab is scoring new heights in every arena and this is a record in itself. He said that in the form of Bhagwant Singh Mann Punjab has got the best Chief Minister ever for the state as he is working untiringly for the welfare of every section of society. Arvind Kejriwal said that Punjab is making rapid progress in every arena which is unprecedented and unmatched.
The Delhi Chief Minister also lauded Bhagwant Singh Mann government for transforming the government schools into School of Eminence. He said that no private school will be as magnificent as this government school, adding that all the government schools will be renovated in the same manner. Arvind Kejriwal said that in the last 18 months Bhagwant Singh Mann government has brought major revolution in the state in all sectors whereas none of the previous governments had bothered about it.
The Delhi Chief Minister said that now the Punjab government will soon start delivery of citizen centric services at the doorsteps of people. He said that Door Step Delivery of services will facilitate the public in getting their administrative works done. Arvind Kejriwal said that the motive of the state government is clearly to make sure that people do not face any problem in availing the citizen centric services.
