The Mumbai Crime Branch has detained few persons who allegedly celebrated India's most wanted fugitive gangster Dawood Ibrahim's birthday on December 26 and then posted the pictures of the same on social media platforms like Facebook.
The detainee being questioned are from the Dongri locality of Mumbai, once considered as the den of Dawood Ibrahim and his lieutenants. The Facebook post, by a person identified as Shera Chikna, had pictures of fugitive don Dawood Ibrahim's den.
The crime branch learnt about the celebrations after photos of the birthday were shared on social media by Shera Chikna.
Chikna had posted pictures with Dawood's pictures and the cake with his name and message which said 'Happy Birthday Boss'.
Crime branch officials confirmed that inquiry is on regarding the post. They are investigating if the youth who had posted were in touch with the Dawood Ibrahim -- who was declared as Global Terror Financer by the US.

The anti-extortion cell of Mumbai Police's crime branch has detained Chikna and is questioning him.
"We are inquiring into the matter," said Joint commissioner of police, Mumbai Crime Branch, Santosh Rastogi.
Mumbai Police officials are trying to find out if the person, who had posted the pictures on Facebook, and three others tagged in the post were in touch with Dawood.
The post shared is under probe to verify if any video call was made to Dawood or his aides in Karachi, Pakistan by those celebrating his birthday on December 26.
