Mumbai Police preparing FIR against Sonu Sood, BMC told to record statement

The Bombay High Court rejected the plea of ​​actor Sonu Sood for relief in the case of making the residential building a hotel. Now Mumbai Police has asked BMC to record their statement to register an FIR against Sonu. Juhu police have said that they have started a preliminary inquiry into the matter and will file an FIR soon.

The police have asked BMC to send its engineer to the police station to record his statement so that an FIR can be lodged. Earlier, Sonu Sood challenged the BMC in the Supreme Court after the High Court dismissed the petition.

Times of India quoted Vishwas Mote, assistant municipal commissioner, K-West ward who said, "We have sent a detailed complaint to police. The engineer is down with Covid-19 now but we will cooperate and coordinate with police."

“We have begun preliminary investigations and written to BMC to send its engineer to record his statement. Once that is done we will register the FIR,” a senior police official said.
