The Mumbai Police on Wednesday issued third summon to Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut and her sister Rangoli Chandel in a case against the sister duo under Indian Penal Code Sec. 124-A (sedition) apart from spreading communal hatred and falsehoods.

Going by the reports, Mumbai Police has asked the Bollywood actor Kangana Ranaut, her sister Rangoli Chandel to appear before them on November 23 over "objectionable comments" on social media aimed at spreading communal tension.

Earlier this month on November 3rd, the second summons was issued to the sisters' duo. While Kangana was supposed to appear on November 9, Rangoli had to appear on November 10 before the Bandra Police. However, they remained absent.

To the reason for skipping the previous summons, their lawyer had sent a letter to Bandra Police seeking a postponement as the sisters were busy with their brother Aksht's wedding then. Now that the wedding and all the ceremonies are over, Mumbai Police has issued fresh summons for investigation.

A Magistrate court in Bandra had ordered an FIR to be registered against actor Kangana Ranaut and her sister Rangoli Chandel for allegedly trying to create a communal divide in the film industry through their social media.
