Lock Upp winner and controversial comedian Munawar Faruqui has been hitting the headlines after controversy in Telangana and the cancellation of his show in New Delhi. Amidst all such controversies, Munawar Faruqui is also busy promoting his song Khawab. Now, Munawar Fauqui recently appeared in an interview for Siddharth Kannan's YouTube channel and talked about his cheating in relationships and also went on to slam fans who are involved in Boycott Bollywood trends.
Speaking on Boycott Bollywood trends, Munawar Faruqui recalled that once he was watching a video of a boy speaking continuously in favour of Boycott Bollywood. Following this, Munawar said that he started to think about why is he angry at Bollywood or what he will get from Bollywood Boycott trends. "The big star will get Rs 50 to 100 crore from OTT, how will you boycott OTT? Let's say you boycott that actor everywhere but they should know the actor has already been paid. Now, the vendor who has made print publicity, his money gets stuck because the movie has flopped."
Adding more to the video of the boy he watched, Munawar said that people are doing the Boycott Bollywood trend for validation. "The boy knew that he is speaking in front of the camera and many people will watch him. And he wants validation from people who think like him" said Munawar.
Munawar also spoke on the nepotism debate and backed the star kids. The comedian said that Star Kids have brand value and therefore multiplexes screen their movies. However, if lesser-known people will be cast in a film, neither the film will get screened nor the people will watch it.
