Myanmar Earthquake Video, Bangkok Earthquake Today: In a horrific development, Myanmar and Bangkok on Friday were hit by a massive 7.7 magnitude Earthquake. Following Myanmar Earthquake Today and Bangkok Earthquake Today, chaos erupted in both countries. As per reports, the epicenter of the earthquake was in central Myanmar, about 50 kilometers (30 miles) east of the city of Monywa. While there were no immediate reports of the effect of the earthquake in Myanmar, multiple scary Myanmar Earthquake Videos and Bangkok Earthquake Videos going viral on X.
Reports suggest that two back-to-back earthquakes of magnitudes 7.7 and 6.4 hit Myanmar with strong tremors were felt in Thailand's capital, Bangkok. In one of the many videos, a high rise building can be seen collapsing. This prompted the government to declare an emergency and shut down metro and rail services. Strong aftershocks were also felt in Meghalaya and several northeastern states, Bangladesh, and China's southwest Yunnan province.
Such was the impact of the earthquake that a high-rise collapsed in Chatuchak district in Bangkok, around 900 km away, killing two labourers. Around 30 others are still trapped. The tremors forced people to run out of their homes, and sent water sloshing out of pools from high-rises.
Furthermore, reports suggest that a 1000-bed hospital in Myanmar capital Naypyidaw is a likely "mass casualty area". There is no confirmation on the number of dead at the hospital, but 20 deaths have been reported overall, including 10 at a mosque that collapsed in Mandalay while people were praying.
