In a puzzling yet mesmerizing discovery, a mysterious 'Golden Egg' was found resting at the bottom of the sea in the Gulf of Alaska. Sea explorers found the golden egg during a live stream by the NOAA Ocean Exploration. At first look, it looked like it could be a pyrite nodule beneath some sea gunk, however, the NOAA Ocean Exploration outlined it as a Golden Egg. To be precise, the shiny substance was found 250 miles off the coast of Southern Alaska. Researchers at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) stated that the shiny object was found two miles deep in the Gulf of Alaska and described it as soft to touch, like skin tissue. The 'alien' Golden Egg was theorized by researchers who suggested that it could be the remains of a sea sponge.

Taking to their official X handle formerly known as Twitter, NOAA Ocean Exploration shared Golden Egg's picture and wrote, "This golden orb, likely an egg casing, struck an imaginative chord for many watching yesterday. Today we dive on Denson Seamount. ROVs are launching & will remain on the seafloor until ~ 3:45pm ADKT/7:45pm EDT." For the unversed, researchers are on a 24-day Seascape Alaska 5 expedition. The sea exploration mission seeks to record areas of the ocean that have never been seen before by humans, with some sites nearly four miles deep.

More about the Golden Egg

In the Golden Egg Exploration Video, one researcher was heard referring to the hole in the substance,"Something tried to get in… or to get out" Another researcher said, "“I just hope when we poke it, something doesn’t decide to come out."It’s like the beginning of a horror movie..." Following that, a remote control arm was deployed to “tickle” the egg, which revealed to researchers the silky skin-like nature of the tissue. Finally, the Golden Egg was sucked up a tube for testing in a lab.
