Every year the auspicious festival of Nag Panchami is celebrated on the fifth day of Shukla Paksha of Sawan month and this year, the fifth day falls on August 12 and August 13. The festival would commence from 3:28 pm on August 12 to 1:44 pm on August 13.
According to Vedic Astrology, Nag is the resident of the Panchami Tithi. The day is important for the devotees of Lord Shiva and Lord Vishnu, as both Lords are associated with snakes. Lord Shiva wears a snake on his neck and Lord Shiva sleeps on the snake (Sheshnaag) bed.

Tithi would begin at 3:28 pm on August 12 and would end at 1:44 pm on August 13.
Puja Mohratt would start from 6:07 am to 08:38 am on August 13.
Nag Panchami 2021: Celebration
The main ritual followed is offering milk to Nag devta, as it is believed that nag devta saves the family from the evil eye. The day is celebrated by distributing stuff and food among the poor. Some people also make the idol of snake and Lord Shiva at their home from clay. Houses are decorated with flowers and rangolis.

Nag Panchami 2021: Puja Vidhi
The devotees take a bath in the morning and then create the idol of Nag devta from clay or cow dung on the door. Nag devta is worshipped by Dhruva and flowers.
Some of the snake gods worshipped in India, are Ananta, Shesha, Vasuki, Kambala, Padma, and Kaliya.
