Motera, the world's largest cricket stadium, will now be known as the Narendra Modi Stadium. The world's largest cricket ground with a capacity of 1.32 lakh spectators was inaugurated by President Ram Nath Kovind on Wednesday. Home Minister Amit Shah was also present during this period. Shah is a Lok Sabha member from Gandhinagar. This stadium falls under his constituency.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi did not participate in the inauguration ceremony. Interestingly, the first official name of Motera Stadium was Sardar Patel Stadium. Now the new sports complex will be named after Sardar Patel.

Shah said that Ahmedabad will now recognize itself as a sports city. Modi ji had this dream ever since he was the CM of Gujarat. The world's largest sports complex will also be built near Motera Stadium at a cost of Rs 251 crore. It will be named Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Sports Complex.

However, on social media along with Narendra Modi stadium, Adani End and Reliance End are also trending. Interestingly, the two ends from where the bowlers are bowling have been named Adani End and Reliance End. People often accuse PM Modi of favoring Adani and Ambani as Prime Minster of India and seeing their names in the stadium will surely create a lot of buzzes.
