The stage is all set for Narendra Modi to take oath as Prime Minister of India for the third time in a row. Scenarios were cleared after Narendra Modi was chosen as the leader of NDA which was attended by TDP's Chandrababu Naidu and JDU's Nitish Kumar. Both Nitish Kumar and Chandrababu Naidu reportedly gave their wishlist what they want from the Modi Government 3.0. Before, the NDA meeting, Narendra Modi tendered his resignation as the PM of India and thereafter he visited the President of India Murmu's office to meet her and stake claim to form the government. Now, PM Modi';s oath-taking ceremony date has been revealed.

As per reports, Narendra Modi is likely to take oath as the Prime Minister of India on Sunday (June 9). Earlier, it was reported that his swearing-in would be held a day earlier. For his oath-taking ceremony, PM Modi has reportedly invited representatives of the neighboring countries including Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal, and Mauritius. The caretaker PM has already invited Sri Lankan President Ranil Wickremesinghe for his oath-taking ceremony. He congratulated Narendra Modi on the BJP-led NDA's electoral victory over a phone call.

NDA meeting

During the NDA meeting, it was reported that Nitish Kumar's JDU has backed 'one nation, one poll' and UCC - agendas that the BJP has been pushing for and wants to implement for years. The JDU, however, wants a review of the Agniveer scheme, which it thinks impacted the elections. For the unversed, the Agnipath Scheme, which was rolled out in June 2022, youth are recruited for four years after which, 25% of them will be retained and the rest will be released - a clause that has upset army aspirants.

As per reports, JDU has its eyes on three ministries in the Modi 3.0 cabinet. Nitish Kumar-led JDU is eyeing for Railways, Rural Development, and Jal Shakti ministries. Other choices could be Transport and Agriculture. However, seeing Nitin Gadkari's exceptional work as Road and Transport Minister, it is highly unlikely that the BJP will give to the JDU.
